At around 25, I started to notice fine lines forming around my eyes. So like most late twenty something ladies I tried product after product looking for the perfect potion to stop time and thus the lines of aging. At almost 30, I had tried probably 50 different jars, tubes and "pens" promising to "turn back time". None of them left me satisfied that is until I found this little gem! Only three weeks in and I'm hooked. My eyes look more "rested" in the morning and the skin seems tighter. Plus, I looove the way it feels when I rub it in. Not greasy at all. Melts softly into the skin. It's a must try. I'm glad I did! (Also, try keeping this in the fridge for those way-too-early mornings - feels wonderful!!!)

I bought this because I needed a jacket for my bike, leather offers the best protection, and this is cheap leather. As soon as I got it, I took a razor blade to it and got rid of the silly patches. Then I wore it for a whole day in which I rolled around my dirty garage floor changing oil & filter on two cars and a motorcycle. After that, I dusted off some of the dirt and grease (but being careful to leave some on for "authenticity"), and now I have a decent riding jacket. Not crazy about the zippered "mini-pockets," though...they are annoying.

This is an interesting but flawed device. Most of those flaws derive from the iTunes Store's disappointing and expensive movie format. Let's start with the lack of scene selection, a feature we take for granted in DVD's. How hard would it be for Apple to provide what even the lowest-budget DVD offers? In this context, AppleTV is totally retro, taking you back to the days of the VCR. Then there's the pause problem--if you stop a movie, a dialog box with just 2 options appears: "resume playing" or "start from beginning." That's it. So finding a favorite scene requires a lot of fast-forwarding or rewinding.
And don't forget the absurd time limitation on rented films: You have to watch it within 30 days and once you press "play" you have just 24 hours to watch it before your investment vanishes. Finally, the pricing is just plain nasty...especially when compared with NetFlix

Another area of disappointment is the interface, usually an Apple strength. A clunky "find the letter" set up makes the task of searching for content or entering data extremely tedious. I'm amazed that Steve Jobs approved this thing. Perhaps it happened while he was on sabbatical because he's always been such a stickler for elegant interfaces.

The instructions provided with Apple TV illustrate the cable connections well but don't do a very good job of explaining how it relates to your Apple computer.

OK, so what's good about AppleTV? I'm having a great time exploring the endless realm of YouTube on my large screen TV and in sharing iPhoto pictures with family and friends.

First, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to purchase this doorstop of a product when items like the WDTV exist. The WDTV plays almost every video format out there, from mt2s to mp4 to avi . . . The Apple TV Doorstop only plays proprietary apple tv formats, like mv4 and mp4 that is specifically formatted to the Apple TV's limited tolerances.

The USB port on the Apple TV is nonfunctional unless you are capable of some serious hacking (which includes opening the box up). If you want to load something onto this brick, you need to have a wireless connection, or maybe wired network connection. Simply copying is not possible.

Which comes to the next tidbit: Why I avoid CrApple products. When they don't work, you can't get 'under the hood' to fix the problem. The Apple TV is notorious for failing to connect to iTunes. Oh, sure, you're network will be recognized, but iTunes will fail to connect and it will provide you with no answers and no solution.

The ONLY good thing about this doorstop is that WHEN it occasionally works, it has an awesome screensaver. Outside of that, get the WDTV instead.

This unit does exactly what I want it to do and it does a very good job of doint it. Just read the instructions and you want have any trouble using it, works great and it's Encrypted so your files are safe from anyone looking at them. If you have stocks, bonds, jewelry, income taxes or investments that you want kept from prying eyes this is the best way of doing it.

I only have the device for about two weeks.
Although the device appears to be a bit slow, it does a decent job.
I have couple issues with it though.
1 - I have not been able to make it work on the eSata port. It is not recognized at all.
2 - So far, I have NOT been able to eject it gracefully from Windows. Any time I try, I get device busy. I actually have to pull the plug (USB cable). This makes me uncomfortable since the data can be lost. And, when dealing with encrypted data things can get complicated.
3 - The device appears to be a bit slow. I can live with this as long as my data is protected and accessible.

I love the Apricorn padlock drive, I have two; one 'regular' 640 and one 'pro' 640.
Both perform with acceptable speeds for an encrypting device.

However, I have never gotten the eSata interface to work reliably. I would be interested to read comments to the contrary. Anyway, here is what I mean by 'unreliable':
* device is recognize just fine.
* device transfers files to-and-fro
* BUT, when I hash the file on the source and destination, they are different. This doesn't happen when using the USB interface. During this test, I transfer ~100GB files.
* this was done on a different machines, with different eSata interfaces, with the same results
* this was done with a different eSata external drive (actually a KingWin ezDock), with success

I can only conclude that the eSata capability is defective in some way. It would be nice because it transfers (albeit with errors) at about twice the speed of USB. But, at least the USB is reliable...

BTW, for those having trouble with getting the eSata to work at all, I use WinXP 32-bit, and I have to plug it in before booting up, with the auxilliary power cord, and have to shut the computer down before removal. I.e. not hot-swapable. Also, I enter my password during the bootup process before it gets to the OS loading. Maybe this helps someone.

Also, for those having trouble 'safely removing' (from USB), make sure that there are no locks on the drive, i.e. no open files or even directories (e.g. no explorer windows, or command prompts). Then you can safely remove. Well, you may have to try more than once to wait for caching to finish writing, but it will happen (this happens even on other drives/thumbdrives). If you don't have the 'safely remove' icon in your tray, you can use
%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll
to bring up a similar but more detailed UI for removing.

I have had multiple rainbow makers in the past, most of them powering a turning prism using solar power. However, most of them did not last more than a couple of years either because they stopped working or I accidently broke them (like by opening a window and forgetting it the rainbow maker).

The advantage of this one is that there is no mechanical part. The effect is still pretty good overall.

The first one I received was broken but I called the seller and they quickly sent me a replacement.

I'm ordering my second Rainbow Window. I've had my first for a few years and properly positioned, it creates a beautiful kaleidoscopic light throughout our first floor on sunny afternoons. I appreciate the fact that it can be hung either with its suction cup or a by a thread or nylon cord. I agree with everything the reviewer Christy said in her review of this item. My Rainbow Window has fallen off the window a few times and survived. That's definitely a plus. I think the reason some of the reviewers here have had problems with it has to do with the fact that it really has to be perfectly positioned to catch the rays.
